Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his first trophy for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging year, achieving just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in particular - caused him falling of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's first title after the Rome competition and maiden on a hard court after spring of 2023.
The win also indicates Medvedev has secured 21 titles at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my children together, so to win a title is particularly special," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I won when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, featuring in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted observers to wonder if his skill to compete at the highest level was over.
However the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and compete aggressively, supported by an better service.
He came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, securing 4 of the final five games to take the lead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to create a decider.
Moutet saved four early-game break points in a competitive deciding set before the champion won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched victory with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
