I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
